Endhiran is a Tamil science fiction film which will be released on 3 September 2010. The prominent roles will be played by Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai. This is a story android based humanoid named Prem. The first part in Endhiran movie has lot of surprises and rest half has actions and rides. Endhiran movie is action film full of technology usage for action sequences of both Rajnikanth and Aishwarya. Kollywood movie named Endhiran is one the costliest movie in tamil cinema.

Endhiran, Rajni plays double role. One is a scientist and another is a Robot. Scientist Rajni creates a Robot with artificial intelligence like that of sixth sense in humans to help human beings and to the development of the country.

But its silicon heart falls in love with Aishwarya Rai. Writes romantic poems and the Robot behave just like a human being. Knowing about the extra ordinary intelligence of the Robot the villains try to get control of the Robot. Scientist Rajni fights to save the Robot falling into the hand of the enemies and destroys the evil forces using the Robot itself.

The concept of this movie is really nice. It is one of the most eagerly awaited films of this year is the Rajinikanth - Aishwarya starrer Endhiran - The Robot. The film, a trilingual (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi), is directed by one of the hottest directors down South- Shankar.
Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai and Tamil superstar Rajnikant’s Endhiran is expected to hit the theaters on September 3, 2010. The producers of Endhiran Sun Pictures have pre-poned the film’s release now and the film will have a grand release on September 3 and the fans will be very happy by this news. According to the sources the Sun Pictures has also decided to launch the film’s music composed by AR Rahman on July 15, 2010.
This movie is one of the most expensive films with a heavy dose of special effects. No wonder then that the film has been in the making for quite some time now. However, there is good news for fans who have been eagerly awaiting this film.

One of the highlights of this film is that Rajinikanth would be seen without his famed moustache in most parts thereby making him look much younger. The last time director Shankar and actor Rajinikanth came together they created magic with Sivaji - The Boss. Hope that Endhiran - The Robot manages to live up to its hype and breaks all Box Office records when it releases later this year.
The music of the film composed by none other than Oscar winner A. R. Rahman is all set to release on 31 July. In fact, a grand music release function has been planned in Malaysia where the entire cast and crew is expected.

Billa

The much talked about and waited movie since Sivaji: The Boss, the Ajith Kumar starrer Billa is finally in the theatres.

All the earlier versions of Billa proved to be successful with Amitabh starrer Don and Sharukh starrer Don-the chase begins becoming superhits. Rajinikanth starrer Billa(1980) proved to be a lucky charm for Rajini and upgraded him to a Super star status. But in cinema two plus two does not necessarily make four, but ‘Thala’ Ajith has gone ahead and proves that two plus two is indeed four.

Billa (Ajith) is the leader of an underworld gang. A police officer is tracking down Billa and in one of their confrontation the police officer wounds Billa, resulting in his death of the Don. The officer then remembers a person who looks like Billa and then tracks that person down. The police officer requests Velu, the look-alike to pretend to be Billa so that the police officer can take down the rest of Billa’s gang, Velu requests that the police officer promises him that he will give a proper education to the children that he is looking after. But in an unexpected turn of events the police officer dies.  How Velu goes on and proves that he is not Billa forms the rest of the story. On the other track we have Sasha (Nayantara), who wants to kill Billa to avenge her brother’s death. Then you have Jagdhish, the super boss of the gang (Raguman), and CJ (Namitha), the girl friend of Billa, to add shades to the crime thriller.

The remake of the Billa is slick and will certainly appeal to today’s youth audiences. The movie is chic and stylish through out and Ajit looks sensational and clearly he is at home, playing dual roles of Billa and Velu. The story line is faithful to the 1980 version of Billa.

The weight of the movie has been placed heavily on Ajith’s shoulders and is mainly for the class A audience. Some of the supporting characters like that of ‘Thengai’ Srinivasan in the original Billa have been snipped which makes the burden even more bigger for Ajith but he is handled the burden well in the film.

Yuvan Shankar Raja’s tunes and music are pulsating and on the whole Ultimate star Ajith Kumar starrer Billa is worthy remake of the original.

uvanshankar Raja had greater responsibility in his shoulders to deliver the best for the remake of yesteryear blockbuster Billa. Obviously his work will draw comparisons with the original.

Yuvanshankar has managed to come up with a mix of a mass and class in Billa with a couple of remixes from the original all set to appeal the masses.

A right mix of hip-hop, melody and class, the new version of 'Billa' has songs which will top the audio charts straight away. Though not mystifying, the songs are a delight to hear. Groovy and trendy, the album has songs which will set the foot moving.

Groovy tracks complete with exotic interludes and orchestration makes up 'Billa'.

Especially the 'Billa' Theme (Instrumental) takes us to a different world. With guitars dominating, the theme song is a masterly work from young Yuvan.

My name is Billa (Naveen, Kay Kay)

It was the anthem of youngsters in early 1980s. Yuvan was careful in getting the soul of the song and give it a different colour. Set in a racy tempo, the song has all ingredients to make it big. Naveen and Kay Kay have tried to catch up with SPB, who rendered the original.

The rap and the guitar interludes deserve appreciation.

Naan Meendum (Deepika)

Watch out for Deepika. The newcomer has rendered this racy number to near perfection. Peppy and foot tapping, the song has enough stringed instruments in the interludes to make it mystifying. A right song for sombre mind. Peppy and pacy.

Sei (Nithya Mahadevan)

Again a racy number. The instruments seem to have overtaken the vocals. But the pace at which the song progresses makes us forget about the vocals. A typical Yuvan song rendered in an Anglican accent. Watch it with visuals, it may appeal to you.

Seval Kodi (Vijay Yesudas)

A typical mass song. Interestingly the soft voice of Vijay Yesudass has been roped in to sing this number. Peppy and filled with brisk music, the Seval Koddi is a perfect number for Ajit fans to rejoice in cinema halls.

The use of percussion and additional rhythm is a delight to listen to.

Vethayala Pottendi (Shankar Mahadevan)

Shankar Mahadevan instantly reminds us of energy. His voice not just adds sheen to songs but also brisk energy. Vethalaya Pottendi, a remix from the original Billa, is one such song from him.

It has undergone just a few minor changes to suit today's audience. It is old wine in a new bottle.

Kakka Kakka

SURYA HAS come a long way since the days of "Naerukku Naer." Robust in looks and smug with self-confidence the young man has matured into a full-fledged action hero. "Nanda" proved it to a great extent. "Kaakha Kaakha" confirms it. It is obvious that Surya has worked really hard - honing his histrionic skills, concentrating on dance movements and stunts and particularly working out on his physique. The result is the impressive hero material that Gautam, the writer-director, has made optimum use of in V Creations' "Kaakha Kaakha."

Generally police stories spell success because they are full of action. But then these stories depend on a strong, fast moving screenplay. "Kaakha Kaakha" does not disappoint you on that score. It is speedy action from start to finish.

First, director Gautam has to be congratulated on for his linear narration... for his acumen in not wasting time with a superfluous comedy track. Probably saying that he could have also done away with. It might be unfair to say that the item number (from Ramya Krishnan) shouldn't have found a place because it is so obviously a part of cinema's commercial agenda. However, it has to be mentioned that the choreography is blatant, crass and rather repulsive.

Anbuselvan (Surya), Sethu, Ilamaran and Srikanth are young straightforward IPS officers.

Expectedly, the ruthless, hardcore villains put up a stiff resistance and life turns topsy-turvy for the quartet. Unwittingly Maya (Jyotika) becomes the target of underworld kingpin Pandia (Jeevan). Her romance and later marriage to Anbuselvan put her in great peril.

"Kaakha Kaakha" is just another story of vendetta. But the treatment and the characterisation make it commendable.

Jyotika looks ravishing in the role of a responsible schoolteacher who falls in love with Anbuselvan. The pair has an appealing screen presence.

Jeevan, the "University" hero, is the proverbial Evil pitted against Good. His voice that is very different from a villain's strident decibel level makes an impact.

Harris Jeyaraj's score for "Kaakha Kaakha" has already been acclaimed a hit. R. D. Rajashekar's camera is a visual delight.

Anbuselvan's life in flashback, in the first person commentary form gets monotonous at times. Gautam could have added a couple of more ways to unfold the hero's past. And how come an astute officer like Anbuselvan fails to see through Srikanth's sudden change in behaviour?

"Kaakha Kaakha" is for action lovers who believe in logical storylines and deft treatment.

This song too starts suddenly without a prelude as “Siragugal Neeludhey”. The female voice in this song is really cool to hear especially in the line “Onnae onnu sollanum, un mugathai paarthu sollanum”. It’s a rhythmic song and very well experimented with the instruments by Harris. This song is going to be a definite hit.

Ondra Renda -Bombay Jayasree. Again Harris and Goutham tried to create the same kind of hit like the Vaseegara song in their earlier movie Minnalae. Harris followed the footsteps of A.R.Rahman by reusing his own tune from the hindi song DilKo in RHTDM. Though this song is not great as Vaseegara, it’s very well sung by Bombay Jayasree and also nice lyrics by Thamarai.

Thoodhu Varuma - Sunitha Sarathi and Febi mani. May be this song would be played when Surya(Acted as a cop in the movie) investigating a case. Though this song is composed and sung well, the lyrics are not good enough. Especially, in the line “Marupadi varuvaai endru ninaithaen” struggles to fit in to the tune. Better lyrics can make this song sounds better.

Uyirin Uyirae-Kay Kay and Suchithra. The song starts with a catchy humming from Suchithra (Don’t know which language it is). The tune of this song sounds very familiar, so we can’t stop humming the tune even after the first listening itself. In the first interlude, the Veenai and claps are well mixed up with western beats. Thamarai had done a decent work in lyrics.

 Over all when going through this album, though it has some sure hit songs like Uyirin Uyirae and Ennai Konjam, when comparing song by song with Minnalae, Kakha Kakha is not good as Minnalae. May be Harris Jeyaraj inspired by some English songs like Secret of Gardens.

First, we must thank Goutham Vasudev Menon for giving a refreshing and feel good cinema in the era of useless action masala. Vinnaithandi Varuvaya is really a pure magic and works a lot with the viewers who easily identify their own flashback or current memories while watching the lead pair.

Karthik (Simbu), a Tamil Hindu mechanical engineer with the dreams of making films, meets Jessy (Trisha), a Malayalee Christian girl, who is an IT professional. And yes.. it is love at first sight! She lives on the top floor with her strict father (Babu Antony), mother and an aggressive brother, while Karthik and his family have rented out the lower portion of their house. Karthik’s passionate wooing melts Jessy, who finally succumbs to his ardent love. But her family and religion stands in the way of true love. Whats happening for their love is explained in a different way in the climax.


Silambarasan... a great performer! He is really awesome and has done his role with fantastic touch. His way of expression and his tears in the climax are really classic. In fact, he exposes his action in a very cool and controlled manner, which portrays him big. Keep it up Simbu!

And Trisha looks good and has delivered fine performance and even overtakes Simbu in few scenes as a confused and excited girl with real love. She is perfectly exposing her possessiveness over Simbu and inability to overcome her parents in the second half. The chemistry between the lead pair is looking real and mind boggling.

The character of Ganesh (one of the producers of this film), who appears as a cameraman cum hero's friend in the film, is really interesting.

The picturisation of the songs is simply remarkable and AR Rahman steals the hearts with his soothing, mesmerizing melodies like Mannippaya, Hosanna. Manoj Paramahamsa's camera work is a major plus point of the film. Antony’s editing without using any gimmicks makes the narration silken smooth.

However, the film Vinnaithandi Varuvaya is having few minor flaws. The slow phase of the second half and frequent use of bad words (Chennai Tamil) are major minuses in Goutham's narration. But these are all not preventing one to enjoy the content of true and painful love of the film!

Anticipations have been high for A R Rahman’s music in Gautham Menon’s Vinnaithandi Varuvaya as this is the first Tamil album composed by the maestro after he bagged the Academy awards, Bafta and Golden Globe honours last year. Mannipaya - Mannipaya is a melodious track with Shreya Ghoshal and Rahman on the mike. Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya - The album has a great title track Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya rendered by Karthik. The free flowing guitar in the background blends naturally with the vocals - yet both seem to have their own character. The music and vocals seem to be competing throughout the track, often outdoing each other.

Hossana - This track is bound to have a mass appeal with its contemporary arrangements and rap portions rendered by Blaaze. Vijay Prakash is at his best and the track starts on a melodious note with Prakash, enters the rap- hip hop mode with Blaaze and Prakash again brings back the melody bit. Suzzane D’Mello’s humming in the background makes the song even more likable.

Kannukkul Kannai - The violin is a prominent instrument in this track dominated by western music influences. Rahman displays his flair for western music with this track sung brilliantly by Naresh Iyer. But it is a mediocre track and nothing about it grips you even after repeated hearings. This is not the track I would look forward to in the album.

Aaoromale - Passionate singing by Malayalam music director Alphonse Joseph and amazing guitar play make the song grow on you after the first hearing itself. A Malayalam track with a feel of country music, Aaromale is an experimental track by Rahman. The song has a perfect fusion of western and Indian
music with violin interludes along with base instrument - guitar.

Omana pene - Benny Dayal does what he is best at in this rhythmic song. Kalyani Menon’s voice surprises as, just when you conclude that it is a male song, Menon surfaces beautifully.
